"As a woman I have no country. As a woman my country is the whole world."
Virginia Woolf
HISTORY
The Women in Business society was formed in 2005 not only to provide a forum for discussing important issues facing women today, but also to help build a lasting network for professional and personal support. Last year's events included roundtable discussions addressing such issues as work-life balance, effective negotiations, and succeeding in a male dominated industry. We were fortunate to have had the involvement of several female faculty members in these discussions. WiB brings distinguished speakers to the Isenberg School, including businesswomen who will share their real-world experiences and advice on thriving as a woman in the business world. The group also plans dinners and other social events for its members. In short, our goals as a group include enriching ourselves professionally as well as personally, and having fun while doing so!
Point system
The Isenberg Women in Business Society wishes to promote more community, activity, and leadership within the club via a point system based on members' involvement and attendance to meetings, events, and speakers. When applying for a position on the Board, a member's number of points will be taken into consideration. Get involved!
