Formed in 2005, the Women in Business Society at the University of Massachusetts - Amherst provides a forum for women looking to build a lasting network for professional and personal support. Together, the women of this new but solid organization tackle such issues as work-life balance, effective negotiations, and succeeding in a male dominated industry.

10/04/08 The first event Isenberg WiB will be attending for the academic year '08-'09 is the Intercollegiate Business Convention. IBC is hosted every year by the Harvard WiB, and this year will be held on Oct 3-4 at the Sheraton in Boston. Go to the IBC website for more information.


09/18/08 Betsy Rotberg, Brand Manager of Baskin-Robbins will be the first speaker of this semester. Betsy will be speaking on the topic "How Can a Young Professional Gain Respect in the Workplace?". This event will be held on September 18th at 7.30pm in SOM 112; dress is at minimum business casual.

10/15/08 We will be holding a general assembly meeting on Wednesday, October 15th at 8pm to discuss new committees and upcoming events.

09/24/08 There will be a mandatory pre-Convention meeting on Wednesday, September 24th at 8pm. Room is TBA. Anyone interested in attending the Harvard Women in Business Intercollegiate Business Convention should attend this meeting.

09/08/08 The first general meeting for the Fall 2008 will be held on Thursday, September 11th at 6pm in SOM 137. We will be discussing upcoming events, speakers, and the future of Isenberg WiB.
