Grace Buehler | Co-President
Grace is a senior pursuing a dual-degree in Marketing and Hospitality & Tourism Management with a certificate in Business Data Analytics, and she is from Blackstone, MA. From the moment she started college, WiB inspired her and helped her grow into a more confident person. She jumped in freshman year by attending every meeting and joining the marketing committee, quickly falling in love with the excitement, empowerment, and fun the organization brings. Joining E-Board her sophomore year, she served as Social Media Chair and then during her junior year she moved to Vice President before stepping into her current role as Co-President. Grace is incredibly grateful for the opportunity to lead and loves the sense of community, growth, and inspiration WiB provides. On campus, Grace is a Resident Assistant in Prince, the Head Social Media Intern for the Isenberg Marketing Department, as well as a TA for the Isenberg Transitions Course! Over the summer, Grace interned with Staples Inc. as a Merchandising Intern. In her free time, Grace loves going for walks, reading, doing her nails, listening to music, and spending time with the people she loves!
Ainsley Cicone | Co-President
Ainsley is a senior Honors Hospitality Tourism Management major completing the Business Analytics Certificate, from Halifax, MA. Ainsley is involved in Habitat for Humanity and serves as an HTM Ambassador. In her free time, she enjoys spending time outdoors, reading fantasy/romcom books, discovering new music, seeing live music, crocheting, doing crafts with friends, and running. She is currently training for the Happy Valley Half Marathon in October. This past summer, Ainsley worked at Fidelity on the Meetings and Events team where she was able to help plan and execute events, while also working on several other projects, including a post event survey, venue sourcing, menu sourcing, space utilization, etc. She is excited to return to Fidelity post-grad and move to Boston with her friends.
Elise Porter | Vice-President
Elise is a junior Marketing major from Andover, MA. She has been in WiB since the first week of her freshman year and it is one of her favorite parts of college! Outside of her time at WiB, Elise is a campus tour guide, in the Minutemen Marketing Group, and she additionally competes on the UMass Alpine Ski Team. This past summer she had a marketing internship in the financial industry, and is looking forward to continuing that passion in the future. Outside of her professional life, and when she is not skiing, Elise loves to play many pick-up sports, such as Pickleball and Volleyball, and crafts, such as painting and decorating.
Shari Lipman | Secretary
Shari is a Sophomore double-majoring in Operations & Information Management and Hospitality & Tourism Management, and is pursuing a certificate in Business Analytics from Stoneham, MA. She joined WiB when she met last year's co-presidents on a whim in Isenberg, who easily convinced her to sign up. Since then, she has attended every WiB general body meeting, social event, and professional event, and is now serving as the club's secretary. She is also a member of the Operations and Information Management club, as well as the UMass Excel club. She is hoping to secure an internship in data analytics this summer and plans to study abroad in Italy next spring. At home, she works as a Pharmacy Technician and loves to travel. This summer, she added to her list of 11 countries visited and counting! She is incredibly grateful for all the new opportunities presented and friendships made through WiB, and is looking forward to an amazing year ahead!
Nicola Degrazia | Co-Treasurer
Nicola is a senior Accounting & English double major with a concentration in Creative Writing as part of the Commonwealth Honors College. She has had six accounting internships over the course of her college career, two at Int21 Solutions, one at Mirus Capital Advisors, and two at Main Street Bank. Nicola has worked heavily in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, but also has experience with loan amortization and generating the general ledger. On campus, Nicola is a member of the Alpha Chi Omega sorority, in which she serves on the executive board as the Vice President of Finance. She also is a member of Isenberg Global Citizens and the Creative Writing club. In her free time, Nicola loves going to berk dinners with her friends and working on finalizing her manuscript with some of the English professors here at UMass! She is so excited for her second year on WiB’s E-Board and can’t wait to work alongside such an amazing group of girls!
Gretchen Hanley | Co-Treasurer
Gretchen is a sophomore Finance and Hospitality and Tourism Management major from Belmont, MA. Joining Women in Business was definitely a highlight of her freshman year, creating such a strong community for her. Throughout her freshman year, she attended every general body meeting and was in the peer mentorship program. This year, she will be serving as the Co-Treasurer, and she is so grateful for the opportunity. She hopes that WiB can help others find the strong community that she found! Around campus, Gretchen also works as a member services assistant at the recreation center. In her free time, Gretchen loves to spend time with friends, try new workout classes, ski, travel, and go for a run or walk. She loves to try new cafes in town and is very passionate about which latte is the best around campus, the student union sea salt caramel latte is her current favorite!
Scarlett Sagal | Co-Director of Community Service
Scarlett is a Sophomore Psychology major with plans to pursue a minor in business, from South Kingstown, RI. After joining WiB freshman year she absolutely fell in love with such an empowering community. This year, she is beyond excited to help organize events and give back to surrounding communities as a director of community service! Over the summer, Scarlett returned for her fourth season to The Nordic Restaurant and hosted at another local restaurant. Outside of WiB, she serves as co-vice president of the UMass Club Gymnastics team, is a member of UMass Ski and Board, and has just started working as a Research Assistant for the Somneuro Lab where she is researching the Neuroscience of Sleep! In her free time, Scarlett enjoys anything outdoors, running, going to the gym, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.
Noalani Perez | Co-Director of Community Service
Noalani is a sophomore Marketing and Hospitality Tourism Management double major from Webster, MA. She is a hardworking college student with a mix of hands- on experience and campus involvement. She’s worked as a Starbucks barista for almost three years, building strong customer service and multitasking skills, and spent a year and a half as an electrical apprentice at Mercier Electric Co. Inc., where she learned teamwork and attention to detail. On campus, she also holds two jobs, working at the John Adam’s Residential Service Desk and at Hampshire Cafe. Where she gains more experience in customer service and campus operations. She has been an active member of several campus organizations, including the Women in Business club, Isenberg, Sustainability Club, Hot Girls Read, and Protect Our Breasts. In her free time, she enjoys going to the gym, scrolling through Pinterest, listening to podcasts, and taking peaceful walks to unwind.
Ava Buratowski | Co-Fundraising Director
Ava is a senior Marketing major with an Economics minor from Doylestown, PA. She has been a part of WiB since her freshman year and this is her third year serving on the EBoard. She loves the community that WiB provides and enjoys being involved in the marketing and community service committees. In addition, Ava is involved on campus with the Isenberg Marketing Club and Isenberg Global Citizens. Over the summer, Ava visited the jersey shore and also worked as a Product Management Intern at Lasko Products. In her free time, she loves going to spin classes at the rec, reading, and getting iced coffees from Dunkin’.
Brooke Leifer | Co-Fundraising Director
Brooke is a senior Finance major from Mansfield, MA. She is beyond honored to now serve as the Co-Fundraising Director, following two years as Co-Treasurer, for an organization filled with such inspiring women. This past summer, Brooke interned with Liberty Mutual Investments on the Operational Strategy and Delivery team, where she gained valuable experience in business services and investment operations. In addition to WiB, Brooke is the Student Lead of Operations for Isenberg's Undergraduate Office and a Lead TA for the freshman transition course. She spends her free time singing and discovering new music, exploring fitness, creating new recipes, traveling, and spending time with friends and family. Brooke is excited to make the most of her senior year and continue contributing to WiB’s mission before starting the next chapter!
Kailey Sullivan | Co-Fundraising Director
Kailey is a sophomore Finance major from a small beach town, Winthrop, MA! Back at home she scoops ice cream with all of her hometown friends. When she is not working you can find her at the beach or on a walk with her dog Stella and her twin sister Allie. At UMass other than being a part of Women in Business, Kailey is also part of the sorority Sigma Kappa where she holds four assistant positions. She is also a part of the Isenberg’s American Hospitality Lodging Association. Kailey is very interested in traveling and is a part of the Italy in Business Program here at Umass and will be going there in January- she is super excited!! When Kailey has some down time she loves to hang out with her friends and she loves to watch Dancing with the Stars with them on Tuesdays! Kailey is so excited to be serving on this year’s E-Board and she looks forward to an incredible year ahead!!
Callie Vuona | Co-Marketing Director
Callie is a senior BDIC major pursuing a self-designed degree in Visual Communication and Marketing, as well as a certificate in Journalism from Holden, MA. After transferring to UMass during her Sophomore year, she has been a part of WiB ever since. Last fall, she became more involved and joined the E-Board as a Co-Recruitment and Communications Director—helping to run the “Out of Office” podcast and lead club recruitment efforts. In her new role as Co-Marketing Director, Callie is most excited to design WiB merch and teach members about the creative avenues that marketing offers! This past summer, Callie interned with Boston Design Guide where she assisted with graphic design/ production, copywriting, and marketing surrounding clients and professionals within the luxury home market. She is overjoyed to be continuing with the BDG team through her senior year as well! Aside from WiB, Callie is the Instagram Coordinator for Her Campus and a vendor at the student farmer’s market. In her spare time, she enjoys taking group fitness classes, reading, working on craft projects, and traveling. Callie also studied abroad in Florence, Italy this past spring semester where she fell in love with the culture, food, and experiences she had. She infuses the creativity and wisdom from this experience into all that she does and uses it as a guiding factor for the person she strives to be!
Taylor Hill | Co-Marketing Director
Taylor is a Senior Marketing major with an Italian Studies minor from Point Pleasant, NJ. After feeling unfulfilled her first semester of her freshman year and lacking the sense of community that she was looking for, WiB was the first club that Taylor got more involved with and instantly realized how empowering and amazing all of the women were! She became more involved her Sophomore year by joining the marketing committee, and joined E-Board her junior year as Social Media Chair. This year, she is serving as a Co-Director of Marketing! Alongside WiB, Taylor is also a teaching assistant for Professor Glennon’s Marketing 301 class, and a teaching assistant for Italian 334 (The Italian American Experience). This past summer, while taking 2 Italian classes, Taylor interned for her second year at Hilman Rollers in Marlboro, NJ and was responsible for trade show prep, social media content, and designing literature. Taylor loves living at the shore and her favorite thing to do when she’s home is getting coffee and going to the beach with her friends. She also loves spending time with family and her dog, Buddy!
Libby Fernald | Social Media Chair
Libby is a sophomore double-majoring in Operations & Information Management and Hospitality & Tourism Management, from Mendon, MA. Joining WiB was a highlight of her freshman year, quickly becoming an inspiring community for her. This year, she is thrilled to step into the role of Social Media Chair and work with her fellow E-Board members. WiB has been such a special part of her time at Isenberg, and she is grateful for the experiences she has been given already. Her favorite WiB event so far has been the Business Etiquette Dinner at the Marriott Center. Around campus, Libby works as a cashier at Yum! Bakery in Blue Wall. In her free time, she loves to shop, go to the gym, bake, get caramel iced chai lattes from the Procrastination Station, and spend time with friends. She is so excited to be on the E-Board and cannot wait to see what WiB has in store this year!!
Ella Kozyra | Historian
Ella is a junior Marketing major from Brimfield, MA. She has been involved with WIB since she transferred to UMass in the Fall of her Sophomore year where she was a member of the General Board and Marketing Committee. Along with WIB, she is also a content intern for Massachusetts Athletics and a Middle School Show Choir Director. She manages Westview Farms Creamery, an ice cream shop in Western Ma and is their social media marketing manager. This past summer, she worked with Showchoir Camps of America as a Media Curator and Counselor and got to perform with professionals from all over the country. She loves photography and videography, music and spending quality time with her friends and family.
Anika Challa | Blog Chair
Anika is sophomore Accounting and Hospitality and Tourism Management double major from Shirley, MA. She has been a member of WiB since the beginning of freshman year and has been involved ever since. This is her first year on E-Board where she serves as Blog Chair. Over the summer she was a Business Analyst Intern for Harvard Soft Inc. In her free time she enjoys going on long walks and running. Anika is excited to see what WiB brings her in her personal and professional life!
Victoria Nault | Co-Recruitment and Communications Director
Victoria is a sophomore Managerial Economics and Communication double major from Shrewsbury, MA. She has been an active member of WiB since her freshmen year, and now serves as the Co Recruitment and Communications Director. Victoria loves WiB for the amazing opportunities and community it has brought her! Victoria's favorite WiB memory is the Boston trip from last spring. Over the summer, Victoria worked as a Business Associate Intern for UMass President's Office Admin & Finance. In her free time, Victoria loves going to the gym, spending time with friends, listening to music, and taking naps!
Rebecca Riggs | Co-Recruitment and Communications Director
Rebecca is a sophomore Marketing & Hospitality Tourism Management double major from Glocester, RI. She is extremely driven and has a passion for marketing and creativity. She recently interned at Park Theatre in Cranston, RI, where she worked on marketing and event planning, and she also interned at an engineering firm called Pare Corporation in their Marketing department, where she first discovered her love for the field (proof that sometimes even engineers can inspire creativity). Aside from Women in Business, she joined Minute Movers this semester to get more involved and help out the UMass community which doubled as her workout for the week. When she’s back in her small hometown, Rebecca enjoys spending time on the lake, getting a good bargain, talking to anyone who will listen, eating just about anything, cooking, and playing the piano. In Amherst, you can usually find her taking in a good sunset view from her dorm on the 15th floor, exploring the mountains, or making another “quick” trip to Trader Joe’s. She’s outgoing, loves to joke around, and takes pride in her positive mindset, daily affirmations included, because sometimes you really do have to be your own hype woman.
Jenny Carlmark | Co-Director of Social Events
Jenny is a senior Accounting Major from Cumberland, RI. She has been actively involved in WiB since her freshman year and served as Co-Director for Community Service last year. For the past two summers, Jenny has worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Boston as an accounting intern in the audit department. After graduation, Jenny will return to PwC as a full-time audit associate in the Boston office. Beyond WiB, Jenny is also involved in Beta Alpha Psi, the honors accounting club, where she also holds an executive board position. Outside of WiB, Jenny loves hanging out with her roommates, attending classes at the rec, and spending time with family! Jenny is so excited for this upcoming year of WiB and can't wait to see what this year has in store!
Emily Gillan | Co-Director of Social Events
Emily Gillan is a senior Accounting major with a focus in auditing from Wakefield, MA. Last year, she was one of the Co-Directors of Fundraising and her sophomore year she was Co-Director of Peer Mentorship. She has been an active member since her freshman year. This is her third year on the E-Board and is so excited to continue making connections with everyone and create fun collaborative events! Besides being a member of WiB, Emily is also on the E-Board for AWA (Alliance for Women in Accounting) and also volunteered to prepare tax returns through VITA her first two spring semesters at UMass. During the summer, Emily interned at Grant Thornton as an Audit Intern and is returning to work there after graduation as an Audit Associate. Emily was studying abroad in Florence, Italy last semester and absolutely loved it! She also loves reading, traveling, yoga and hanging out with friends.
Sydney Nixon | Co-Director of Social Events
Sydney is a sophomore Hospitality and Tourism Management Student from Holden, MA. She has been a member of WIB since freshman year, and is incredibly grateful to serve on a team of such strong and empowered women. On campus, Sydney teaches pilates and barre at the UMass Recreation Center. She's incredibly passionate about group fitness and loves helping others achieve their fitness goals. Additionally, she is a part of the HTM Ambassador program where she is able to promote and represent the Hospitality and Tourism Management program to incoming and prospective UMass students! She’s also an active member of the American Hotel and Lodging Association and UMass Amherst Best Buddies. Outside of school, Sydney enjoys spending time with family, hiking, skiing, drinking coffee, and hanging out with friends. She’s so excited to start her first year on the WiB E-Board and can’t wait to work with this incredible team!
Hunter Edwards | Co-Director of Peer Mentorship
Hunter is a senior Operations & Information Management major from Holyoke, MA. This is her third year serving on the WiB E-Board, previously holding the positions of Co-Director of Professional Events and Co-Director of Social Events. She is excited to help grow the Peer Mentorship program this year as it has helped her create impactful connections since she first joined the committee. Outside of WiB, Hunter works as a teaching assistant for two upper-level OIM courses as well as a UMass Tour Guide. Additionally, she has extended her role as a Project Management Intern at Eversource Energy into the semester, where she remotely supports her team. In her free time, Hunter loves to learn how to cook new meals with her roommates, spend time with her dog, and go hiking!
Ava Christensen | Co-Director of Peer Mentorship
Ava is a sophomore Operations and Information Management major from Natick, MA. She has been a part of WiB since her freshman year and loved the peer mentorship program, so she can't wait to serve as Co-Director of Peer Mentorship this year! At UMass she is also a part of the Integrated Concentration in STEM (iCons) certificate program where her focus is Biomedicine/Biosystems. She is interested in pursuing a career in the healthcare and business world. This past summer, she traveled across four different states and visited six U.S. National Parks. Ava enjoys hiking, traveling, cooking, dog walking, yoga, and spending time with family and friends in her free time.
Anya Voehl | Co-Director of Peer Mentorship
Anya is a sophomore Psychology major from Milton, MA. In addition to being part of WIB, she’s also an active member of the Best Buddies club on campus. Over the summer, she spent time on the Cape and worked as a camp counselor at Milton Academy. In her free time, she loves going to the beach, spending time with friends, and reading. She’s so excited to serve on the WiB E-Board for the first time and to work alongside such an amazing group of girls!
Ella Cushman | Co-Director of Professional Events
Ella is a senior Finance major from East Longmeadow, MA. She is working towards a financial analysis concentration and a business analytics certificate. Ella has been an active WiB member since her freshman year and is excited for her second year on the e-board! This summer, she was a sales intern at ALKU in Amherst working as a recruiter. In her free time, Ella enjoys spending time with family, friends, and her pets. She loves going to the movies, watching tv shows with friends, going to the beach, and taking new classes at the rec center. Ella is so excited to continue making connections and meeting new people through WiB!
Christina Yu | Co-Director of Professional Events
Christina is a sophomore Hospitality Tourism Management major from Acton, MA. She has been a gymnastics coach in her hometown of Acton, Massachusetts, for over five years, where she has developed strong leadership, communication, and mentoring skills. Christina is passionate about campus involvement and loves being the Co-director of Professional Events for Women in Business, where she works alongside amazing women to plan events, share ideas, and create opportunities for growth. Outside of academics, Christina is an avid traveler and has visited 20 countries with her family, which has inspired her passion for exploring new cultures and building global connections. Christina also loves spending time outdoors, cooking, listening to music, and playing the guitar in her free time. Above all, she values quality time with the people who matter most to her and seeks to bring that same sense of community and connection to everything she does.
Jill Baldassini | Co-Director of DEI and Campus Outreach
Jill is a senior Management major from Middleboro, MA. This past summer, she worked at the Plymouth waterfront as a waitress alongside her sister and also gained professional experience as a Sales Support Intern with Rand-Whitney. Jill has been an active member of Women in Business since her freshman year, and this is her second year serving on the WiB E-Board. She is excited for another amazing semester ahead.On campus, Jill enjoys playing intramural soccer with friends as a fun way to stay active. Outside of academics and leadership, some of her favorite things to do include going on coffee or ice cream runs with friends, spending time with her family, and watching Dancing with the Stars with her roommates.
Mihika Pherwani | Co-Director of DEI and Campus Outreach
Mihika is a sophomore Management major from Southborough, MA, and she also plans to pursue a minor in Psychology. She has been a member of Women in Business since her freshman year and quickly fell in love with the kind and energetic community. Being part of WIB has already opened the door to so many amazing opportunities and connections, and she is thrilled to be serving on the E-Board this year! Over the summer, Mihika interned at Ibis Consulting Group, where she contributed to marketing initiatives and designed their leadership eBook. She also worked at her gymnastics gym’s summer camp, where she has worked for the past 3 years. On campus, Mihika serves as Co-Vice President of the Club Gymnastics team and is also a member of the Ski and Board Club. Outside of school, Mihika enjoys traveling, hiking, painting and doing anything outdoors! She loves exploring new places while trying new foods and activities with her family and friends.
